Your data is your data. We set one cookie, ditzl_session. It is created only if you sign in, it holds a random session identifier and nothing about you, and it lets the site recognise you are still signed in as you move between pages. It is not readable by JavaScript (HttpOnly), is sent only over an encrypted connection (Secure), is not sent to other sites (SameSite=Lax), and lasts 30 days unless you sign out. We set no advertising, profiling or cross-site cookies, and no third party sets a cookie through this site. We count page views, and here is exactly what that means. WHAT IS RECORDED: the page you viewed, the time, the country, region and city your network reports, your browser’s user-agent string, the site that referred you if any, whether the browser is a phone, tablet or desktop, and whether the request appears to be an automated crawler. WHY: this site is billed by the human page view, so the count is the invoice, and the crawler flag exists so that automated traffic is not billed. It is not advertising analytics and it is not sold. HOW IT IS STORED: each view is written as a content-addressed receipt in an append-only chain, so a count can be audited and cannot be quietly revised after the fact. WHAT IS NOT RECORDED: we do not store your IP address, your name, or any account identifier alongside a page view, and we do not link one page view to another, so the record cannot be assembled into a profile of you. We do not follow you to other sites and we run no advertising. No third-party analytics or advertising service receives your visit. Typefaces are served from this site. No font service, CDN or other outside host is contacted when a page loads. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties, except where the law requires it.
